SCARF AND ROBE MAKER

 

I am the scarf and robe maker to the New Sheridan Club making the following items:

 

 

These are 6 feet long traditional college-style scarves made of Saxony wool in the colours of the NSC (i.e. red, black and silver) in equal width stripes.

 

They are £19.50 each (plus postage). I make them in batches of seven at a time, two batches a year (one in the Spring and another in the Autumn). If you want to order one, I will add you to my order book and when that is filled I will proceed with making them.

 

 

 

 

These are made of three coloured lengths of rayon petersham ribbon backed together with hemmingweb then cut and formed into a hatband with a bow. Because of the nature of the hatband, I would require an existing boater to install the hatband on as sizes would differ. I can also supply a boater with the band installed (an Olney boater which I have replaced the original black band with the NSC one).

 

The cost of a hatband is £22 (includes installation). For a new boater with the NSC hatband on, the cost would be £70 (plus postage).

 

 

 

 

This hood is for members who wish to wear academicals when delivering their talk at a NSC club night.

 

It is made of black stuff in the London full-shape, lined red watered silk and faced and bound all edges with silver watered silk. The cost for each hood is £100 (plus postage).

 

Members of the Illustrious Committee may have their hood's shell in black corded silk and with the cape bound with white fur (c. £145).
